The challenge

Gastronome, a premier supplier to the poultry processing industry, with nearly 20 million packages of poultry distributed annually throughout France, needed to optimize throughput and reliability in its distribution center. The company’s existing sorting system, maxing out at 3,000 cartons per hour, was no longer sufficient. Gastronome sought a solution to double throughput while enhancing overall system performance.

The solution

Gastronome, in collaboration with system integrator Probia, turned to Interroll for an intelligent process automation solution. Two Interroll Crossbelt Sorters were seamlessly integrated into Gastronome's distribution center, enhancing the sorting process with precision and safety.
