Swiss share markets: highly volatile with a negative tendency

The first half of 2022 on the Swiss stock exchange was predominantly volatile, ultimately with a negative trend. The blue-chip barometer Swiss Market Index (SMI) reached 10,741 points at the end of June. This resulted in a minus of 16.6% in the first half of the year.

The broad Swiss Performance Index (SPI) reached 13,834 points, down -15.9% on the 2021 year-end.

Interroll share weaker than the Swiss indications

In the first half of 2022, the Interroll share developed disproportionately and to the trend of the SPI and with a high volatility. With a closing price of CHF 2,140.00 on June 30, 2022, the Interroll share was -47.9% below the year-end price in 2021 (CHF 4,105.00).

The Interroll share thus significantly underperformed the Swiss indices.

The Group's market capitalization was CHF 1.75 billion as of June 30, 2022 (December 31, 2021: exceeded CHF 3.3 billion).

Stable free float

Approximately 14% of Interroll shares (December 31, 2021: approximately 14%) are held by the remaining founding families. The free float as defined by the SIX Swiss Exchange was therefore around 86% as at June 30, 2022 (December 31, 2021: around 86%).
