Youngone faced several challenges in its distribution center, including the need to increase automation, adapt to the dynamic fashion market, and efficiently handle a diverse range of product sizes and weights. With an ever-growing demand for its products, the company sought a solution that could streamline its operations while maintaining accuracy and reliability.
Partnering with Hyundai Movex and Interroll, Youngone implemented a comprehensive logistics system featuring Interroll's Modular Conveyor Platform (MCP) and Interroll sorters. The system was designed to handle the influx of orders, especially during peak seasons, and ensure precise inbound and outbound logistics management. Key technological advancements included radio-frequency identification (RFID) inspection gates for meticulous traffic management and Interroll's Crossbelt Sorter for accurate distribution.
The automated distribution center enabled Youngone to achieve a fast return on investment and maintain low maintenance operations. By meeting order deadlines with precision, Youngone boosted customer satisfaction and loyalty. Interroll's belt sorters facilitated efficient sorting of various product sizes and weights, ensuring optimized throughput and minimal energy consumption.
Founded in 1974, Youngone is a premier global manufacturer of outdoor sportswear, footwear, and gear, driven by a strong commitment to environmental sustainability and uncompromising quality standards. As a pioneer in the outdoor industry, Youngone is recognized alongside top brands, including The North Face.
“We were in great need of automation. [The] Interroll Crossbelt Sorter allows accurate distribution to 200 stores during a single operation, and the capacity is up to 8,500 pieces per hour.”
“To prepare for the ever-changing fashion market, our distribution center will also have to innovate constantly.”
“We decided for the technology, but not only that. Interroll service is the best since they do not accept anything else than perfect.”
