The challenge

In the highly regulated pharmaceutical industry, Alloga, a third-party logistics provider in Switzerland, must handle highly sensitive pharmaceutical products while ensuring the highest level of quality, efficiency and flexibility to meet escalating demands of its clientele, which includes pharmacies, hospitals, and medical professionals. They faced several challenges:

The solution

Partnering with the system integrator Flück Fördertechnik AG and leveraging Interroll technology, Alloga chose a cutting-edge solution:

  • The Interroll Modular Conveyor Platform (MCP), which consists of preassembled modules for a quick and smooth implementation process
  • Incorporation of zero-pressure-accumulation technology to enhance buffer capacity and optimize throughput
  • Custom-designed loading towers to facilitate order pickers in loading complete orders onto conveying lines, streamlining the shipping process
  • Automated intermediate buffers and ergonomic packing stations
  • Extension of the system using the same scalable platform
