Q&A

Interroll offers rollers for all intralogistics applications in the unit load sector. These include driven and non-driven rollers. Rollers for straight conveyors or curves. Rollers made from various tube materials, with a wide range of drive options and for all weight ranges of conveyed goods.

Gravity rollers are not driven rollers that move goods using slope or manual push, while driven rollers are connected to a drive system to transport goods at controlled speeds.

Yes, stainless steel conveyor rollers are designed for corrosive or moist areas and are commonly used in food, pharma and other hygiene‑critical applications.

Roller diameter and material depend on load weight, conveyor length, speed, and environment; heavier loads and longer conveyors typically require larger diameters and robust materials such as steel.

Interroll offers rollers and wheels designed for cold storage and hot environments, with suitable bearings, seals and materials for extreme temperatures.

Under the title Wheels, Interroll offers products for a wide variety of applications, including: rollers for side guidance of products, pressure rollers for flat belts, diabolo rollers for connecting round belts to line shafts, and various all-sided rollers for easy manual movement of products in different directions.

For most rollers, the tube material is often made of zinc-plated steel, stainless steel, or PVC. Shafts are made of steel. End caps are usually made of technopolymer, and drive heads are made of technopolymer or steel.

Load capacity varies by roller type and design, ranging from light parcels to heavy pallets in industrial environments.

Tube material, bearing type and speed influence noise levels, rollers with sleeve and precision ball bearings are often used in applications where low noise and smooth conveying are important.

Yes. Interroll rollers are designed to integrate easily into standard conveyor frames and modular systems.

Logistics, e-commerce, manufacturing, food processing, airports, and distribution centers.

Yes. Options include different lengths, diameters, materials, coatings, and bearing configurations.

Steel rollers are generally used in normal dry environments, while stainless steel rollers are significantly more corrosion-resistant and are used more in applications involving water exposure or higher humidity, as well as in areas where water is used for cleaning.

Interroll attaches great importance to ensuring a consistent level of quality. To achieve this, all components are regularly tested for functionality, tolerance compliance, and durability. Interroll rollers are therefore characterized by a very long service life, low maintenance requirements, and a broadly standardized platform that is compatible with almost all conveyor systems worldwide.

Rollers are preferred for unit load handling, such as boxes, totes, pallets or tires. Rollers can almost always be used if the smallest conveyed goods can be supported by three conveyor rollers. All types of conveyor technology (low pressure accumulation, zero pressure accumulation, and continuous handling conveyors) can be constructed with rollers.

Interroll rollers are designed for a very long service life. Maintenance requirements normally consist only of a visual inspection and, if necessary, cleaning of the systems.

Interroll provides spare rollers and can often retrofit or replace rollers in existing gravity or driven roller conveyors from various manufacturers.
