Interroll mourns the man who brought the company's smart new perspective to America – Chuck Agnoff

Wilmington, NC (Apr. 4, 2016) -- Chuck Agnoff, the innovative engineer who founded Interroll USA, part of the Interroll Group, died March 29 in Florida, aged 80.

“Those who were fortunate to know and work with Chuck will know what an inspiration he was,” said Tim McGill, President of Interroll Americas. “Without him and his influence, Interroll North America would not exist today as we know it.”

Chuck Agnoff died Tuesday, March 29, 2016, in Boca Raton, FL, with his beloved wife of 60 years, Evelyn, by his side.

True entrepreneurs are rare, but in every way Chuck was one. He remained a constant inspiration to those who knew and worked with him.

Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., at age 14, he was accepted into the prestigious Brooklyn Technical High School, and went on to become vice president of General Bearing Company before starting Interroll USA, Long Island, N.Y. in 1975.

In 1988, Chuck brought Interroll to Wilmington, paving the way for other businesses to relocate to eastern North Carolina.

“I and many others owe him so much,” said McGill. “Please join me in sending the Agnoff family our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.”
