An impressive model built entirely of LEGO building blocks
Household goods producer WENKO has completely modernized its in-house logistics center with Interroll technology. An impressive model built entirely out of LEGO building blocks helps visualize the Interroll solution for training purposes. The model consists of 135,000 blocks, with 40,000 needed for the detailed depiction of the continuous flow rack levels of the Interroll Carton Flow alone. The 1:40 scale model is 200 centimeters long, 150 centimeters wide and 55 centimeters high, with lighting in all commissioning tunnels and over the sorting lines. The project took more than six months to complete of which seven weeks were required for construction.
The LEGO model of the WENKO logistics center serves as an excellent training model in the Interroll Academy, visualizing the material-handling and logistics solution to customers and training participants in a simplified way. A WENKO video offers an additional overview.
