The paintings of Franziska Goes deal with surfaces and space and with their atmospheric effects. The complexity of colours and shapes produce overlapping layers of opposites: hard and soft shapes, cold and warm colours, sharpness and bluntness determine the composition. The large formats allow the onlooker to stand in the picture. She forms unrepresentative images that describe a quite unique reality from observations of Nature and urban spaces. She has already exhibited in galleries and artist's guilds in Herborn, Frankfurt, Mannheim, Berlin, Speyer, Munich/Germany, in Arhus/Denmark and Gothenburg/Sweden and in New York , Michigan (USA). She has also won numerous grants and prizes. Her works can be found in private and public collections in Germany, Sweden and Denmark. |
