Alexandra Schlund studied Painting at Berlin University of Arts and graduated as a Meisterschülerin (Master student) in 2001 with Bernd Koberling. Since then she has been
awarded numerous grants and funding. Her work deals with the issues of displacement and resolution. The starting point of her paintings is a photographic archive that contains
architecture, landscape and scenic moments. Over and above paintings and drawings, Alexandra Schlund has also worked on large-scale wall pieces. She lives and works in
Berlin.
