Ad hoc communication

Sant'Antonino, Switzerland, 30th June 2010. Interroll sorting technology is continuing to gain market share in the Americas. A major North American postal organisation has decided to improve its sortation processes by integrating the Interroll Crossbelt Sorter. The order, worth several million US dollars, is a key element of a larger project which will be completed in 2011 and is handled by a local systems integrator.

"We are proud having been selected to supply our sorter to this impressive project", says Tim McGill, Interroll President North & South America. "This is our largest order for sorters in the Americas ever received."

The sorter will be configured horizontally with a circular loop of patented crossbelt carriers discharging postal items to destinations on either side. Interroll Crossbelt Sorters come pre-assembled from the factory to ensure ontime delivery and fast and smooth integration on site. The product is designed to be key product for bespoke material handling solutions. Key user benefits include:  extreme reliability and user friendliness, economical operation even for low throughputs of 2000 items/hour, short-term ROI of 2-3 years, adaptability to future growth, safe handling of mixed unit loads of up to 35 kg, and low-noise operation (< 68 dBA). The major reason however behind the upsurge in demand for the Interroll sorter is the very low ongoing cost of ownership relative to any similar technology offering similar performance.
